Yes, the UI extension functionality has been extended again. This time we concentrated on making it possible to add custom fields to the Task form.
When you want to add some fields to a specific type of task, you start by defining these field in a new UI extension. Once you have activated this UI extension, you can link it to the template for the specific task type. The additional fields will then be available in each task that is based on that template.
Collecting structured information in tasks allows this information to be used for automating certain steps of a change management workflow. Details on how to retrieve the data from a task’s UI extension fields can be found in the developer documentation.
