The privacy policy described on this page applies to all customers of the 4me service. Customers of the 4me service submit data to the 4me service as part of their use of the 4me service. With respect to such customer data, 4me acts as a data processor. In this role as a processor of customer data, 4me addresses privacy principles in the manner described in this policy.

4me generally does not have a direct relationship with individuals whose personal data is submitted by customers to 4me. 4me does not collect personal information on behalf of its customers, and 4me does not determine how its customers use such data.

Having said that, 4me recognizes the individual’s right to access their data and instructs individuals whose data is being processed by 4me to refer all requests concerning their data to the customer of the 4me service that controls the data.

4me also supports the opportunity for individuals to exercise their choice in determining the sharing of personal information with third parties and limiting its use to the purpose for which it was collected. As a data processor, however, 4me cannot extend that choice directly to the individual and must refer all opt-in or opt-out requests to its customers who control that data.

4me does not share, sell, rent, or trade data that its customers submit to the 4me service. Such data may only be accessed by 4me with the express permission of the customer and then only for the purpose of diagnosing technical problems with the 4me service, or monitoring the technical quality of the 4me service. 4me is potentially liable for appropriate onward transfers of personal data to third parties.

Safeguarding the privacy of a customer’s data requires the customer’s cooperation. For example, customers of the 4me service are responsible for the access they offer their users to their data. 4me customers are also responsible for the quality, integrity, reliability, and appropriateness of data submitted to the 4me service and must comply with applicable laws in using the 4me service.

4me maintains appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to help protect the confidentiality and integrity of the data its customers submit to the 4me service. However, the security of customer data can never be guaranteed, given the nature of the Internet. 4me is not responsible for any interception, change or loss of customer data. Customers of the 4me service are responsible for protecting themselves against unauthorized access to their passwords and computers.
